Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 2–5+ years of experience in construction estimating, project engineering, or project controls.
• Strong ability to read drawings, specs, and technical documents.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates.
• Proficiency with estimating software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, HeavyBid, Estimator) and MS Office.
• Familiarity with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, Primavera P6, MS Project.
• Solid understanding of contracts, change orders, and basic project accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and general conditions.
• Analyze drawings, specs, geotechnical reports, and addenda for scope and constructability.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor/supplier bids; develop bid packages.
• Develop conceptual, schematic, design-development, and hard-bid estimates as required.
• Prepare bid proposals, pricing summaries, clarifications, exclusions, and supporting docs.
• Maintain historical cost data, unit prices, and estimating databases.
• Support pre-bid meetings, site visits, and bid strategy sessions.
• Assist with project setup, including budgets, schedules, logs, and change order tracking.
• Track project costs against estimate/budget; prepare cost reports and forecasts.
• Coordinate with field teams on constructability, sequencing, and deliveries.
