Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Whitehall Township, MI, seeks a Project Engineer/Specialist to join the Manufacturing Technology Group (MTech).

You will help develop concepts and engineered solutions for process and technical issues in investment casting and coating industries, and manage project assembly and on-site equipment installation at customer facilities. You will coordinate with design engineers, supervise technicians, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget while complying with

Qualifications

BS degree in Engineering; or an Associate's with 7+ years experience in project builds in machine design/manufacturing.
Legal to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
Access to export-controlled items; eligibility required.
Minimum 3 years' experience managing project builds in machine design/manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and maintaining project build schedules within budget and delivery timelines.
Manage customer and supplier/vendor relationships to meet requirements.
Assist with quoting and bidding for projects.
Coordinate equipment build process within MTech fabrication area and installation on-site at customer facilities.
Supervise lead technicians and team members during builds, adhering to EHS requirements.
Coordinate with internal design engineers, fabrication resources, and external suppliers.
Document engineering changes and provide solutions during development and construction of equipment.
