Job summary

CMC, a Fortune 500 company, seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead design and coordination on fast-track construction projects in our Mesa, AZ operations. You’ll define scope, budgets, schedules, and provide value engineering with cross-functional teams.

You’ll contribute detailed engineering designs, manage budgets, and ensure on-time completion with rigorous documentation. Travel may be required; a 4-year ABET-approved degree is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working on fast-track projects.
• Demonstrated experience and/or skills working on multiple projects of varied degrees of complexity at the same time.
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent work ethic, attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Goal orientated.
• Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Microsoft Project and experience with Project Management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with operations team to define scope, develop budgets and schedule.
• Design and/or supervise and coordinate detailed engineering for new construction and expansion projects.
• Complete designs and provide value engineering.
• Develop construction specifications, bid packages, budget cost estimates, construction schedules, permitting, etc. as required to insure completion of projects on time and within budget.
• Develop, establish, and maintain engineering budgets.
• Coordinate and account for any changes in scope of work.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for each project.
• Ability to travel
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned, and requirements may vary from time to time.
