Job summary

CPH has an opening in its Linthicum Heights, Maryland office for a Project Engineer (EIT/EI) – Land Development. This full-time position includes a hiring bonus up to $1,000 and opportunities to work on diverse civil/municipal projects.

Under a Professional Engineer, you’ll design, prepare reports and construction documents, handle permits, and coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and utilities. Occasional site investigations require travel and practical field oversight.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil or Environmental engineering with 1–5 years of experience.
• Ability to model stormwater and design land development projects.
• CAD experience desirable.
• E.I certificate or ability to obtain upon starting.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Willing to travel for site investigations and transmittals.

Responsibilities

• Work under a Professional Engineer on design and construction documents.
• Prepare accurate presentation, design details and construction documents.
• Prepare permit applications and submittal packages to agencies.
• Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, utilities and contractors.
• Travel to perform site investigations and construction observation.
• Prepare specifications, shop drawings and inspection reports.

CPH has an opening in its Linthicum Heights, Maryland office for the following position:

Project Engineer (EIT/EI) – Land Development.

Hiring Bonus of up to $1,000 for selected candidate!

Duties Include

• Working under a Professional Engineer as a member of a team in the design and preparation of technical reports, analysis/calculations and construction documents.
• Preparation of accurate presentation, design, details and construction documents.
• Preparation of permit applications and submittal packages to Agencies having jurisdiction.
• Coordination with clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors and other parties associated with the project.
• Periodic travel to perform site investigations, and construction observation.
• Preparation of specifications, shop drawing review, field observations, preparation of inspection reports and other construction administration tasks.
• Collaboration with other firm engineers, architects, disciplines, project managers, and business development teams.
• Research, interpretation and implementation of relevant codes and client requirements.
• Implementation and utilization of CPH and client standards and templates.
• Review of documents prepared by others and implementation of project quality control.
• Development and adherence to project scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Management of clients and national account programs.

Requirements

• Ideal candidate will have a B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental engineering with 1-5 years of experience in design and permitting of civil/land development projects in Maryland with the ability to model stormwater, design and manage small to large scale land development projects, research and review code requirements, and maintain project schedule & budget.
• CAD experience is desirable.
• E.I Certificate or ability to obtain upon starting is required.
• Willing to work as a team and have strong organization and communication skills.
• Will require intermittent travel to assist with site investigation, construction observation and project transmittals.
• Maryland utility design experience a plus.
