Job summary

PetroSea in Idaho is seeking an experienced civil/mining engineer to prepare and implement the Project Execution Plan, review progress, and ensure all documentation complies with company standards and procedures.

The role emphasizes earthwork coordination, review of drawings and specs, progress monitoring, and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant infrastructure projects on time and on budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or mining engineering or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of earthworks, grading, drainage and road construction.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage earthwork construction activities including cut & fill and site infrastructure.
  • Review drawings and technical specs to ensure constructability and alignment with requirements.
  • Monitor progress, productivity, and quantities against schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Survey, Geotechnical, Construction, HSE, and Contractors.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions.
  • Review contractor work plans, methodologies, and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with specifications, quality, safety and environmental regs.

Job description

Prepare and assist in preparation and implementation Project Execution Plan, from identifying project plans and proposals to review & analyze project progress; ensuring all documentations and specifications, both internal and external, are conforming to company's standard and procedures.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate earthwork construction activities, including cut & fill, grading, haul roads, access roads, construction platforms, drainage, and site infrastructure works.
  • Review engineering drawings, earthwork designs, and technical specifications to ensure constructability and alignment with project requirements.
  • Monitor earthwork progress, productivity, and quantities against project schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Survey, Geotechnical, Construction, HSE, and Contractor teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues arising during construction and provide appropriate engineering solutions.
  • Review contractor work plans, methodologies, and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and environmental regulations.

Verify earthwork measurements, quantity calculations, and contractor progress claims.

Monitor construction risks and implement mitigation plans to minimize project impacts.

Support project reporting activities by preparing progress updates, forecasts, and engineering documentation.

Education

Bachelor's Degree of Engineering.

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in earthworks, heavy civil works, mining infrastructure, or construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of cut & fill operations, grading, drainage systems, road construction, and large-scale earthmoving activities.
  • Experience managing contractors and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction methodologies.Familiar with quantity estimation, project scheduling, and construction planning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software is an advantage.
