Responsibilities
Business Development & Proposal Support
Assists in identifying new project opportunities and supports the management team in developing pursuit strategies.
Helps research potential markets, clients, and emerging technologies in the geotechnical and civil engineering sectors.
Supports preparation of proposals, including risk assessment, cost estimating, engineering input, site visits, and client Q&A.
Assists in contract review and ensures understanding of key project requirements.
Coordinates with the pre-construction team as needed.
Risk Management
Understands and follows company risk management policies and procedures.
Recognizes potential risks on assigned projects and escalates to the Project Manager or management team for mitigation.
Initial Planning
Assists with project start-up activities including design reviews, submittals, material procurement, scheduling, and pre-job planning.
Participates in pre-project meetings with the Superintendent and other stakeholders.
Supports the development of project execution plans to maximize efficiency and profitability.
Project Execution
Monitors daily progress to ensure work meets specified requirements.
Supports the project team in tracking schedules, budgets, and production goals.
Helps identify and address potential challenges or opportunities to improve project performance.
Safety & Quality Assurance
Ensures compliance with all OSHA and company safety requirements on assigned tasks.
Supports the response to safety incidents in partnership with HSEQ and project leadership.
Assists in resolving quality control issues and supports stop-work authority when necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, civil construction, or related field.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, scheduling software, and industry-specific tools).
