Job summary

Powers & Sons Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects in Indianapolis. You will work with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality goals are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field is required.
• Internship or co-op experience in construction, engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn are important.
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with day-to-day project coordination and administration.
• Support management of RFIs, submittals, drawings, and project documentation.
• Track project schedules, budgets, and material deliveries.
• Attend project meetings and prepare meeting notes and action items.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
• Assist with quality control and safety compliance efforts.
• Help maintain accurate project records and reporting.
• Support project closeout activities including punch lists and documentation.
• Learn and apply construction management best practices and company procedures.
