Powers & Sons Construction in Indianapolis is seeking a Superintendent I to support field operations on our commercial and multifamily projects. You will work alongside the Project Manager to coordinate trades, track progress, and maintain safe, organized jobsites from mobilization through closeout.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction in a field role (assistant superintendent, foreman, or similar).
• Ability to read drawings and specifications and understand trade sequencing.
• Strong organization and communication skills with professional issue resolution.
• OSHA 30-hour construction training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations, subcontractor coordination, deliveries, equipment, and housekeeping.
• Reinforce safety requirements and address unsafe conditions promptly.
• Review drawings and submittals to verify work meets project requirements.
• Maintain look-ahead schedules, monitor progress, and flag issues before delays.
• Coordinate trades, communicate priorities, and follow up on commitments.
• Maintain daily reports, progress photos, manpower records, and field documentation in Procore.
• Lead quality inspections, subcontractor meetings, punch lists, and closeout.
