Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Project Engineer - Utilities to support large-scale data center construction projects. You will coordinate drawings, submittals, procurement, and change management while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and field teams.

The role requires 5+ years in project or field engineering on data center projects, with a solid grasp of drawings, contracts, scheduling and cost control.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of project engineering, field engineering or construction management experience on Data Center projects (earthwork).
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, scheduling, procurement, and cost control processes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

  • Managing drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Coordinating equipment, materials, procurement, and schedules.
  • Working closely with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and the owner.
  • Supporting cost control, contract administration, and project documentation.
  • Reviewing submittals for compliance with contract documents.
  • Managing project logs, meeting documentation, as builts, and closeout.
  • Identifying potential project risks and helping resolve issues before they impact schedule or cost.
  • Supporting and developing Field Engineers on the project team.

Our client is seeking a Project Engineer - Utilities to support the successful delivery of large-scale Data Center construction projects. This role serves as a key technical resource for the project team, helping coordinate project documentation, procurement, subcontractor activities, and change management processes while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, vendors, and field personnel.
