Job summary

NES in Wisconsin is seeking a Project Engineer to bridge field operations and project management on mission-critical electrical construction projects, including data centers. You will help ensure schedules, safety, quality, and client objectives are met through proactive site presence and effective communication.

The role emphasizes collaboration with field teams, look-ahead planning, and ensuring readiness of materials, drawings, and coordination. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent construction experience.
• Exposure to commercial, industrial, electrical, or mission-critical construction.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Support project execution from planning through installation.
• Track installation progress, productivity, and percent complete.
• Maintain accurate progress reporting for scheduling and forecasting.
• Coordinate with field leadership to validate work and RFIs.
• Assist in look-ahead planning to remove constraints and ensure readiness.
• Verify materials, equipment, drawings, and BIM coordination are available.
