Job summary

Wabash in the United States is seeking a Project Engineer to lead project management and design activities for silos and vessels. You will translate guidance into usable data, review estimates, and coordinate delivery with customers to meet timelines.

The role requires 3–5 years in design and fabrication of stainless steel or sheet metal, plus CAD proficiency and strong communication with customers and teams. SAP BOM input is part of duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
• 3–5 years' design and fabrication experience in stainless steel or sheet metal.
• Ability to read and approve CAD drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Translates technical guidance into engineering data to design Silos and Vessels meeting customer needs.
• Reviews price estimates and delivery commitments for potential new jobs.
• Performs calculations to plan product design and specifications for layout.
• Interfaces with customers to convey capabilities and coordinate delivery timelines.
• Designs project layouts and provides blueprint information for drafting.
• Oversees production of assigned projects to meet procedures and schedules.
• Troubleshoots fabrication issues and suggests cost-reducing changes.
• Inputs Bill-of-Materials in SAP for production.
• Assists Warranty Manager in evaluating customer claims.
• Maintains a safe, orderly work environment.
