Job summary

Wabash in Wisconsin seeks a Journeyman Fabricator to design, fabricate and install custom pieces for vessel construction, using MIG and TIG welding, grinding and finishing per client specs. You will read engineering prints, lay out parts, cut, form, fit, weld and test vessels to ensure safety and quality, while consulting blueprints and mentoring fellow welders.

The role requires working in tight spaces and at heights, wearing PPE, and completing duties safely; a pre-employment drug screen is

Qualifications

• Journeyman level fabrication and welding experience.
• Ability to read engineering prints and weld symbols.
• Capable of building stainless-steel vessels per print.
• High-level fabrication and welding capabilities with required certifications.
• Read tape measure and use layout tools; work alone or in a team.
• Pre-employment drug screen.”

Responsibilities

• Own and improve safety, quality, and delivery performance.
• MIG/TIG weld to required standards; ensure certs are met.
• Read engineering prints and follow specifications.
• Perform basic maintenance on welding equipment.
• Mentor Welders and Grinders when needed.
