Job summary

Gilbane Building Company in Syracuse, NY seeks a Project Engineer to support the project team by obtaining, evaluating, coordinating, and distributing all project information and documentation to keep the schedule, budget, and quality on track.

You will collaborate across disciplines, manage change, review shop drawings, and help drive safety and performance while mentoring junior staff and delivering value to clients across schools, labs, hospitals, and corporate facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 4+ years with a large trade contractor, construction management, or general contractor.
• OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
• Understanding of contract documents and specifications.
• Proficient in Procore and CMiC.

Responsibilities

• Manages project information and documentation to support schedule and budget.
• Monitors change management and cost reporting processes.
• Coordinates shop drawings reviews and material deliveries.
• Coaches team members and supports a positive work environment.
• Maintains client relationships and identifies opportunities for value.
• Supports project controls and monthly cost meetings.
