Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Engineer with 1+ year of tenant-improvement construction experience in Southern California. The position offers a salary of $70,000–$75,000 per year and reports to the Project Manager.

This is a permanent on-site role within a established commercial contractor with 20+ years in business. Ideal candidates hold a Construction Management degree and can oversee multiple TI projects from conception to completion, coordinating with architects and subcontractors to meet

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 1 year of experience as a Project Engineer in the Construction industry.
• Commercial tenant improvement experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and design phase of commercial tenant improvements projects, ensuring that all specifications and regulations are met.
• Coordinate and oversee the work of the construction team and subcontractors, ensuring that all tasks are carried out according to plan.
• Review and approve project drawings and specifications, making necessary changes when required.
• Manage the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Monitor the progress of the project, making sure that milestones are met and addressing any issues that arise.
• Conduct quality control checks, ensuring that the work meets the required standards and that safety regulations are followed.
• Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders, providing them with updates on the project status and any challenges encountered.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals, contributing to the overall success of the project
