Job Title -

Project Engineer - Commercial - Mission Critical/Data Centers

Location -

Central Ohio (currently) and other domestic locations in the future

What You Will Do
  1. Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for commercial projects. Handle business correspondence, billing, and financial reporting.
  2. Provide technical support for construction efforts including participation in construction planning. Assist with design interpretation, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, and constructability reviews.
  3. Develop, implement, and administer project procedures and other work controlling documents to support overall construction.
  4. Interface with all on-site departments as required to resolve problems, ensure quality of construction, project safety, etc., in support of the overall project schedule.
  5. Be proactive in work flow management, coordinate with superintendents on material delivery, and stay on schedule.
  6. Develop, track, and negotiate proposals and change orders for contract changes with the owner and subcontractors.
  7. Maintain the project schedule accurately by completing periodic updates within required timeframes and identifying schedule issues.
  8. Conduct business correspondence and billing/financial reporting.
Working Conditions

Construction setting, travel required, full-time. Must be able to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for long periods, lift and hold over 50 lbs, talk, hear, and occasionally sit. Capable of working in confined spaces or at extreme heights safely. Subject to hot, cold, humid, and wet conditions depending on location.

What We Expect

Education / Experience: 1-2 years' experience in construction required. A four-year degree in engineering or construction management is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Effective written and verbal communication, strong client relations, excellent organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Salary range typically between $49,100 - $73,600 annually. Applicants are encouraged to share their compensation expectations. Caddell considers prior experience, education, and qualifications to make competitive offers.
