In support of panel manufacturing our robust engineer team support hardware design engineering and full low-voltage electrical installation support. We support projects from concept phase to final on-site commissioning and handoff to operations.


Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative / Business Development Manager is a hybrid role focused on driving revenue growth through both inbound and outbound strategies. This position is responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, managing key accounts, and supporting the quoting and specification of BME/EPMS control systems. Success in this role requires strong communication, technical aptitude, and a proactive sales mindset.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Proactively generate and qualify leads via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other digital channels.
  • Build and manage relationships with Control Integrators, Controls OEM/Manufacturers, consulting engineers, contractors, and end users.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic accounts.
  • Support outbound campaigns and product launches in collaboration with marketing.
  • Participation/attendance in industry events, both locally and nationally

Quoting & Technical Support

  • Prepare accurate proposals and quotations in coordination with the engineering team.
  • Understand and articulate the technical value and features of BME/EPMS solutions.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records (Pipedrive) for accounts and opportunities.
  • Track pipeline growth, conversion rates, and sales performance against targets.

Industry & Product Knowledge

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive offerings, and market needs.
  • Continuously improve product and technical knowledge to support customer conversations.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in inside sales or business development, preferably in industrial automation, building controls, or electrical systems.

Skills & Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of BME/EPMS systems, control panels, power monitoring solutions, and overall data center infrastructure equipment. Controls touch everything!
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret system diagrams, schematics, and specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in mission-critical sectors (e.g., data centers, healthcare).
  • Knowledge of Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, and SCADA/HMI platforms.
  • Estimating or quoting control systems experience.
