Job summary

RIMEPRO Inc. is actively seeking experienced Project Engineers to support Project Managers and field teams on commercial construction projects across the San Francisco Bay Area.

You will help manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation from preconstruction through turnover. The role requires coordinating with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and clients, reading drawings, and assisting with scheduling and cost tracking.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer in commercial construction required.
• Commercial general contractor experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with commercial tenant improvements, renovations, or ground-up construction preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation.
• Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and construction drawings.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers on commercial construction projects from bidding through final completion.
• Assist with subcontractor bidding, estimating, proposals, and procurement activities.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Assist with prime contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, engineers, clients, and field personnel to resolve project issues.
• Assist with project scheduling, construction sequencing, and overall project coordination.
• Support owner billings, subcontractor invoices, and project cost tracking.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes and progress updates.
• Monitor subcontractor activities, material deliveries, and project milestones.
• Identify constructability issues, scheduling conflicts, and potential project delays.
• Work closely with Superintendents to maintain communication between field and office teams.
• Maintain organized project records, logs, and construction documentation.
• Assist with punch lists, closeout documentation, final inspections, and owner turnover.
