Job summary

RIMEPRO INC is seeking Construction Project Engineers to join established Southern California general contractors. The role supports Project Managers and Superintendents on ground-up industrial and commercial projects across San Diego and Inland Empire, handling preconstruction through turnover.

The ideal candidate has experience with project documentation, RFIs, submittals, procurement, and field operations on commercial or industrial sites, with familiarity in Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• 1-5+ years of construction experience preferred.
• Experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or Project Coordinator with a commercial general contractor preferred.
• Experience with ground-up commercial, industrial, concrete tilt-up, warehouse, or distribution center construction preferred.
• Understanding of construction processes, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and field operations.
• Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple project responsibilities.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred as noted above.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project or similar construction management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and Superintendents on ground-up industrial and commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Assist with project coordination involving sitework, foundations, concrete tilt-up, structural steel, building systems, and final turnover.
• Prepare, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and field personnel to resolve project issues.
• Assist with subcontractor bidding, buyout, procurement, and material tracking.
• Support project scheduling, look-ahead planning, and construction sequencing.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify potential conflicts.
• Track change orders, purchase orders, project costs, and subcontractor documentation.
• Assist with project meetings, meeting minutes, progress reports, and schedule updates.
• Coordinate material deliveries, long-lead items, inspections, and subcontractor activities.
• Work closely with field teams to monitor construction progress, quality, and project milestones.
• Identify constructability issues, scheduling conflicts, and potential project delays.
• Maintain organized project records, logs, and communication between field and office teams.
• Assist with punch lists, closeout documentation, final inspections, and owner turnover.
