Job summary

RIMEPRO INC in the San Francisco Bay Area seeks a Project Engineer to support commercial construction projects from San Francisco to San Jose and Oakland. You will work with Project Managers and field teams, gaining hands-on experience across preconstruction, execution, and closeout.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer in commercial construction.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Working knowledge of RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Microsoft Project.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude with ownership and problem-solving.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Customer-focused mindset with commitment to quality and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with all aspects of projects from bidding through project closeout.
• Coordinate subcontractor bidding, assist with estimating self-performed work, and prepare proposals.
• Assist with prime contracts and subcontract administration.
• Manage and coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain communication between the office, field teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Assist with owner invoicing and review subcontractor invoices.
• Support project scheduling, documentation, and overall project coordination.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project team members.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on delivering successful projects.
