Job summary

Hill Construction Company is seeking a full-time Project Engineer to enhance our San Diego team. This role involves assisting in bidding, managing project documentation, and ensuring quality and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidates should have a degree in Construction Management or Engineering and a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, 401(k) matching, and other perks.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years minimum direct experience with project schedules, RFIs, estimates, budgets, and contracts.
• Ability to read and bid construction plans.
• Comprehensive knowledge of subcontractor scopes.
• Willingness to visit and walk job sites regularly.
• Physical ability to sit/stand for extended periods and lift/move boxes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in bidding and estimating for projects.
• Manage project schedules and risk management.
• Handle RFI, subcontract, and purchase order management.
• Review and approve project billing.
