Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Courtland, AL is seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager (Project Engineer Asc) to lead integration, testing, and production execution in a fast-paced environment. You will coordinate with IE, MRP, and support teams to ensure alignment with the program and space enterprise goals.

The role emphasizes readiness, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement through PMT-driven initiatives, with responsibilities spanning planning, design reviews, and production support.

Qualifications

  • Ability to articulate complex technical and programmatic issues to peers, management and customers.
  • Experience managing schedules.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management Software and Collaborative platforms (SharePoint, JIRA).
  • Must be a United States citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure readiness and execution of integration and testing activities that meets internal operating and contractual schedules.
  • Support and assist with leading execution of TAKT time-based production implementation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Industrial Engineering, Material Resource Planning (MRP), and other Support Functions to ensure holistic execution of organization to meet current and future demand of customers.
  • Support accelerating performance excellence utilizing PMT Teams across the organization, ensuring floor and staff PMTs are aligned to the Program and Space enterprise while identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives to increase repeatability, efficiency, and throughput.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure readiness and execution of integration and testing activities that meets internal operating and contractual schedules
  • Support and assist with leading execution of TAKT time-based production implementation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Industrial Engineering, Material Resource Planning (MRP), and other Support Functions, as required, to ensure holistic execution of organization to meet current and future demand of customers
  • Support accelerating performance excellence utilizing PMT Teams across the organization, ensuring floor and staff PMTs are aligned to the Program and Space enterprise while identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives to increase repeatability, efficiency, and throughput

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications
  • Ability to articulate complex technical and programmatic issues to peers, managment and customers
  • Experience managing schedules
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Managment Software and Collaborative platforms (Sharepoint, JIRA, etc)
  • Must be a United States citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Desired Skills
  • High volume/high-rate production experience
  • Ability to coordinate interfacility or cross-site readiness across major functional organizations
  • Can articulate and discuss technical issues, but not required to be a SME
  • Ensures, engineering, ME, MRP understands and works to production need dates
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with customer, program management, and team members
  • Facilitate schedule reviews and status meetings with operations, program and customer
  • Engages early with operations leadership team on return to green plans, if required.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $58200.00 - $108200.00
