Job summary

TAM Systems is seeking a Project Engineer to design and engineer agricultural systems and facility expansions for farms and commercial operations across the Mid-Atlantic. You will work closely with customers, sales, project management, and millwright crews to develop practical solutions for grain storage, handling, and other infrastructure.

The role involves creating system layouts, specifications, and documentation, with responsibilities spanning budgeting input, proposals, and startup support

Qualifications

• SolidWorks 3D design software knowledge preferred.
• 2D CAD design software knowledge preferred.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks across problems.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.
• Advanced computer skills and Microsoft Office.
• Strong mechanical inclination.
• Ability to generate practical solutions.
• Ability to control costs and adhere to a schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions for new systems, expansions, and improvements.
• Serve as a technical resource for customers before, during, and after projects.
• Manage engineering tasks to meet deadlines and milestones.
• Provide input for budgets, estimates, and proposals.
• Collaborate with customers to understand needs and goals.
• Develop project specifications and documentation.
• Create construction prints and documentation packages.
• Assist with equipment startup at customer sites.
• Design layouts and models using 3D CAD.
• Coordinate with purchasing to acquire materials and equipment.
