Job summary

TAM Systems is seeking a driven 3D CAD Designer to join our team. The designer will create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for grain handling and material handling systems, working with project engineers, sales, and field teams from concept through installation.

The role involves developing layouts, equipment drawings, and construction documentation to support projects with accurate system representations and documented designs.

Responsibilities

• Manage design responsibilities to support established project schedules and deadlines.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and project teams to evaluate customer needs and develop practical system solutions.
• Provide technical information and design details required for project budgeting and cost estimates.
• Create detailed system models and layouts using 3D CAD software.
• Develop concept drawings and system layouts to support the sales and estimating process.
• Create construction prints and project documentation packages.
• Perform internal design reviews with all project disciplines.
• Work with the purchasing department to acquire materials necessary to complete projects.
• Assist sales with technical knowledge of system design and concept and construction drawings.
• Design parts in 3D CAD for use in the design library.
• Provide estimates for system quotations.

The CAD Designer creates detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for agricultural construction projects, including grain storage, conveying, drying, and material handling systems.
