Position Summary:

The Project Engineer’s primary responsibility is to support the Estimating & Sales Department to ensure our customers receive timely and accurate quotation and designs. This includes analyzing mechanical plans/specifications so that we are providing an estimate with our full scope of HVAC products. Assisting the sales department in the design and selection of both core and equipment solutions for our engineering customers. Generate mechanical schedules and specifications to achieve basis of design opportunities. Provide post sales project management by generating equipment project submittals, change-orders, and field customer support.

Our goal is to effectively promote sales of HVAC equipment in the commercial construction market and deliver unparalleled service to our customers.

Project Engineer Primary Job Responsibilities:

Estimate projects using manufacturer pricing software/data
Analyze mechanical plans, and specifications and prepare estimate for full range of HVAC products
Recognize products that need to be quoted by factories and call/email for pricing
Work with sales mentors at the pre-bid stage to generate equipment product quotes that meets the design specifications
Provide design selections, schedules, specifications for basis of design opportunities.
Interactive communication with Sales, factory reps and customer personnel to facilitate a timely, accurate, strategic quotations and designs.
Post sales project management by generating equipment submittals, releases, and managing change orders
Provide post sale equipment technical support to our customers for equipment provided

Job Qualification/Requirements:

Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Previous construction industry experience is preferred. Key competencies are initiative, communication, teamwork, and time management.

Minimum bachelor’s degree Required – Mechanical Engineering
HVAC Industry Experience: 1-2 Years Experience
Possess strong analytical, organizational, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Technically inclined to understand and explain construction project /scopes of work.
Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook - REQUIRED.
Must be able to function well in a high-intensity, constant changing environment.
