Job summary

A leading multidisciplinary design firm in California is seeking a Project Engineer to join their Civil Engineering team. In this role, you’ll manage public and private land development projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and stay within budget. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, have a minimum of five years' experience, and preferably hold a California PE license. This full-time position offers an expected salary range of $98,612 to $111,654 based on experience.

Project Engineer – Civil Engineering

We’re looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our dynamic Civil Engineering team as a Project Engineer. You will work on diverse public and private land development projects, helping to deliver infrastructure, water resources, roads, and more within budget and on time.

Responsibilities
  • Support management for public and private land development projects, including schedule, budget, communication with the client, and overall project design under the supervision of the Project Manager.
  • Monitor the performance of junior staff in staying within scope and budget.
  • Oversee overall project budget for managed projects.
  • Direct and oversee CAD and design work of junior staff.
  • Assist in the preparation of task budgets within a proposal under the direction of a Project Manager.
  • Prepare reports and direct the activities of junior staff in gathering data.
What You’ll Bring To the Table
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of work experience.
  • An active California PE license is strongly preferred.
  • Current knowledge of professional codes, laws, computer applications, and trends.
  • Work experience in Civil 3D.
Above & Beyond
  • Some work experience in architecture, engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, or planning firm.
