Job Description
Prepares the BOQ (Bill of Quantities) based on the RFQ (Request for Quotation) of a certain project as submitted by the Project Manager and duly approved by the CEO & President.
Understanding the client’s requirements and quantities take-off as per marking and RCP drawings and/or supported by an actual site visit and pre-scoping activities, where needed.
Identifying the gaps between BOQ and drawings, specifications and conditions of the contract and taking it for logical closure.
Participates in the pre-tendering activities with client and the Project Managers and raising relevant pre-bid queries from the given tender.
Monitors and controls costs throughout the project duration, identifying cost-saving opportunities and submits corrective action as promptly as these are noted.
Collaborates with stakeholder to optimize project outcome and achieve value for money.
Optimizes the use of all project team resources, monitors the team performance and promotes a working environment that enriches personal and professional growth consistent with the company’s goals and objectives.
Continuously reviews existing operating processes and procedures to ensure they remain responsive to the current demands of the business environment.
Acts as a management representative in business meetings with existing and prospective clients and in meetings with any government office related to project management.
Supports ISO initiatives and adopts a continual improvement mindset to look for opportunities for improvement, change obsolete processes, and innovate for the company’s best interest.
Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time in relation to project management.
