Job summary

CPH, a multi-disciplinary engineering and architectural design firm, is seeking a Project Designer - Site Development in San Juan, PR.

You will support site layout, grading, and construction coordination under supervision of a licensed PE, preparing CAD documents, and collaborating across engineers, architects, and clients.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or CAD certificate required.
• Experience with large commercial developments is a plus.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate presentation, design, and construction documents using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate and coordinate with the project team, including engineers, architects, designers, consultants, and clients.
• Interpret relevant codes, regulations, and client requirements to guide the design process.
• Implement and utilize established CAD standards, templates, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.
• Calculate quantities, areas, and other essential data necessary for land development civil engineering designs.
• Travel periodically to perform site investigations, take measurements, and observe construction progress, followed by the preparation of detailed reports and exhibits.
• Assist in compiling construction plans from all disciplines and ensure timely submission to agencies with jurisdiction.
• Focus on developing detailed technical drawings and designs, calculating material quantities, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure that all designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We have an opening for the following position:

• Project Designer - Site Development
• Location - San Juan, PR

The Project Designer - Site Development plays an essential role in supporting a wide range of projects for a MAJOR commercial brand! This is a very exciting opportunity for an entry to mid-level candidate with a strong design skill set in tools such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D. This individual must be detail-oriented and possess a collaborative working approach to join a dynamic team at CPH!

Position Overview:

Our Project Designer - Site Development will work in alignment with the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer to support final delivery of key client deliverables for large commercial developments. The primary focus of this position will involve providing day to day support on site layout, grading, and full construction site coordination/design.

What You'll Need:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Adobe Suite software’s and drafting techniques are a MUST.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience in Commercial, Retail, Restaurant, and Industrial projects is a plus.
• Adaptable and receptive to instruction from others.
• Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with a team
• Excellent oral, written and organizational skills.
• Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
• Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated.
• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record

Education and Experience:

• Associate’s Degree or Computer - Aided Design Certificate
