Site Junior Architect

Duties and Responsibilities

Site Coordination

• Assist in supervising construction activities as per approved drawings and specifications
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants
• Communicate design clarifications from the architect to the site team

Drawings and Documentation

• Prepare, review, and update working drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings
• Ensure drawings issued to site are the latest approved versions
• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, and site instructions

Quality Control

• Monitor workmanship and material quality to ensure compliance with design intent and standards
• Report discrepancies, deviations, or execution issues to the senior architect
• Assist in inspections and snag-list preparation

Site Visits and Reporting

• Conduct regular site visits and document progress
• Prepare site visit reports, photographs, and observations
• Track construction progress against drawings and schedules

Compliance and Safety

• Ensure construction work aligns with local building codes, regulations, and project specifications
• Observe and report basic site safety compliance issues

Coordination with Consultants

• Assist in coordinating architectural work with structural, MEP, and other consultants
• Identify and report clashes or coordination issues

Client and Office Support

• Support senior architects during client meetings, presentations, and site reviews
• Assist in responding to RFIs (Requests for Information)

Material and Sample Review

• Assist in reviewing material samples, mock-ups, and finishes as per design intent
• Verify on-site materials against approved samples

Measurement and Billing Support

• Assist in checking measurements and quantities for contractor bills when required

Learning and Professional Development

• Learn construction practices, detailing, and site management under senior supervision
• Follow office standards, procedures, and reporting systems
