Job summary

DAVIS is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Rockville, MD to lead the project team through the full lifecycle of large, complex construction ventures. You will partner with superintendents to drive schedule, cost control, safety, quality, and contract administration while supporting preconstruction efforts.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7+ years of construction experience, with LEED/sustainability exposure and strong leadership capabilities to develop and mentor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent construction experience.
  • Seven+ years of construction experience.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of engineering and construction project management, including safety standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills across all levels.
  • Experience with project management and scheduling software.
  • Experience with sustainable building (LEED) projects) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily management and execution of construction for multiple large projects.
  • Lead project meetings with owners, design team, and trade partners.
  • Manage HVAC, plumbing, life safety, controls, and commissioning.
  • Prepare and review project schedules, cost estimates, and bids.
  • Oversee safety program and site safety walks.
  • Mentor junior team members and conduct performance reviews.

Partnering with the DAVIS Superintendents, this role is responsible for the daily management, supervision, coordination and successful completion of construction projects to meet time and cost objectives with respect to safety, quality, contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, subcontracting and contract administration functions.
