Spicer Group is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Drinking Water/Wastewater Service Line in Ohio. You will lead technical design, analysis, and delivery of water infrastructure projects, guiding field activities from feasibility through commissioning.

The role requires collaboration with clients and contractors, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing design teams. A strong background in water/wastewater engineering and proficiency with modeling and CAD tools is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team of engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with leading technical design and delivery of drinking water and wastewater projects (permits, hydraulic modeling, treatment design, pump stations, pipelines, OA/SCADA integration, headworks, disinfection, residuals management, nutrient removal).
  • Lead/participate in feasibility studies and screening-level designs and perform sizing and modeling analyses.
  • Prepare construction drawings, calculations, models, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Provide project-specific technical information to design staff and coordinate with CAD teams.
  • Interface with clients to gather requirements, present findings, support procurement, and assist with bids.
  • Ensure compliance with local/state/federal regulations and design standards, and visit sites as needed.

The Project Engineer specializes in drinking water and wastewater systems, leading the technical design, analysis, and delivery of water infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include managing design teams, coordinating with clients and contractors, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality, and guiding field activities from feasibility through commissioning.
