Job summary

Talion Construction, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager and Superintendents from procurement through completion. You will interpret plans, gather submittals, review subcontractor submittals, and track data using Prolog and Submittal Exchange.

Strong teamwork and communication are essential. Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, preparing RFIs, and supporting scheduling, risk, and change management with the PM and site team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field (preferred).
• 1+ years of project engineering experience (required).
• Experience with RFIs and Submittals; VA/Federal construction (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Interpret and understand project plans.
• Gather submittal data and shop drawings from project team.
• Review subcontractor submittals for compliance with project plans.
• Input and track submittals using Prolog and Submittal Exchange.
• Obtain and review subcontractor/vendor quotes and submit for PM review.
• Create and maintain logs using Specification Sections in coordination with PMs and clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and team members.
• Order materials and assist with material takeoffs in collaboration with Site team.
• Support PM and Site Superintendent in scheduling, tracking, issue management, risk management, change management, and status reporting.
• Create agendas for weekly meetings and internal project communications.
• Prepare and submit RFIs and follow through to final resolution.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Schedule:

• In - Office, Day Shift
• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday 7AM - 4PM

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field (Preferred)

Experience:

• Project Engineering: 1+ years (Required)
• Experience with RFI's and Submittal's (Required)
• Experience with VA/Federal Construction projects (Preferred)
