Job summary

Talion Construction in Murrieta, CA, is looking for a full-time Project Engineer to assist in project execution from procurement to completion. The role involves collaborating with project managers, maintaining logs, and ensuring compliance from subcontractors. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and at least one year of project engineering experience. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 4 PM.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in Project Engineering is required.
• Familiarity with RFIs and Submittals is necessary.
• Experience in Federal Construction projects is highly desirable.

Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer, you will assist the Project Manager and Superintendents in preparing documentation and ensuring smooth project execution from procurement to completion. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and understand project plans and
• Gather submittal data and shop drawings from
• Review subcontractor submittals to ensure compliance with project plans and
• Utilize software such as Prolog and Submittal Exchange to input and track submittal
• Obtain and review subcontractor/vendor quotes, submitting them for Project Manager
• Create and maintain logs using all Specification Sections in coordination with Project Managers and clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, ).
• Order materials and assist with material takeoffs in collaboration with the Site
• Support the Project Manager and Site Superintendent in scheduling, tracking, issue management, risk management, change management, and status reporting.
• Create agendas for weekly meetings and internal project
• Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) and follow through to final
• Perform other related duties as

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and
