Job summary

Forcine Concrete & Construction Co. is seeking a motivated individual to support the project management team with day-to-day tasks and learn the full project lifecycle.

The role is designed to evolve, with increasing responsibilities and a potential transition into a Project Manager position. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, eager to learn, and enjoys working both in the office and in the field.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any field is required.
  • Construction experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the project management team in coordinating project tasks, timelines, and resources.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain project documentation, including schedules, reports, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, budgets and closeout documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Support monitoring of project progress and assist with resolving issues.
  • Learn and apply project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Contribute to planning and implementation of project activities.
  • Participate in meetings, supporting planning, coordination and follow-up tasks.
  • Develop understanding of the organization’s operations and PM processes.
  • Read and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Job description

This position offers an exciting opportunity to learn and grow within the project management field. You will initially support the project management team with day-to-day tasks, gaining valuable experience and insight into the full project lifecycle. Over time, this role is designed to evolve, with the expectation that the individual will take on increasing responsibilities and eventually transition into a Project Manager position.

Work Environment

This position will be a combination of office with sedentary work at a desk with computer use, and occasional field work with potential exposure to loud noise, moving equipment, dust and outdoor elements. With frequent interaction with clients and project managers.

The worker is exposed to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including extreme cold and heat for extended periods exceeding one hour. Factors such as wind and humidity should also be considered, as they can intensify the cold and heat.

The worker is exposed to various atmospheric conditions that may impact the respiratory system or skin, including fumes, odors, dust, mist, gases, and inadequate ventilation.
