Job summary

Placed is seeking an experienced construction project manager to oversee design/build projects from estimate through closeout. You will coordinate design professionals, manage the buyout of subs, lead on-site meetings, and keep safety, quality, and schedule on track.

You will work with owners and the design team to develop thorough estimates, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive value engineering. Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project is required; a strong, ethical

Qualifications

  • 2-8 years of design/build experience.
  • Sound decision-making ability under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities toward desired outcomes.
  • A commitment to quality—evaluating processes, incorporating customer feedback, and consistently meeting or exceeding internal and external expectations.
  • A high level of integrity, representing the company's values while staying focused on customer needs and expectations.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the managerial and administrative side of a project, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reporting, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost tracking, safety, and proposal development.
  • Engage with the owner early in the process to help facilitate the design process alongside the chosen design professionals.
  • Ensure a thorough and accurate project estimate is developed, working closely with owners and the design team on preliminary concept drawings.
  • Participate in proposal meetings with owners to review scope of work, identify cost-saving opportunities, and bring value engineering ideas to the table.
  • Manage the buyout process and subcontractor selection.
  • Lead bi-weekly on-site job meetings.
  • Partner with the Superintendent to keep safety, quality control, and schedule on track.
  • Run progress meetings with owners and the broader construction team.
  • Stay cost-conscious and closely attuned to every aspect of the project throughout its lifecycle.
  • Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.
