Job summary

Judit Inc seeks a Project Manager to lead multiple hydro-system projects, overseeing both business and technical aspects from planning through completion. The role requires coordination with engineers and consultants, development of cost forecasts, schedules, and change control, and driving process improvements for project success.

The candidate will manage budgets, verify invoices, create work breakdown structures, and ensure project requirements are met while delivering value to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or a related engineering field from an accredited college or university.
  • PE and/or certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) or AACE International are desired.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, evaluates, coordinates, and implements a management support framework to complete one or more large and important projects or several smaller projects with complex features in a large, complex hydro system.
  • Responsible for the business and technical aspects of the entire project, including budget, schedule, WBS, invoices, cost analysis and forecasting, work planning, expenditures monitoring/controlling, and change control.
  • Provides guidance to the project team and other specialists/consultants; ensures requirements are identified and met; conducts engineering economic analyses and supports the project approval process; approves change results within limits; allocates contingency; conducts lessons learned reviews at project completion.
  • Initiates project controls or related process improvements to optimize achievement of program objectives; develops detailed estimates using advanced spreadsheet skills; reviews vendor proposals and aligns work scopes, estimates, schedules and cost accounts.

  • Plans, develops, evaluates, coordinates, and implements a management support framework to complete one or more large and important projects or several smaller projects with complex features in a large, complex hydro system. Responsible for the business and technical aspects of the entire project. Business responsibilities include budget, schedule, establishing project work breakdown structures, analysis and processing partner/contractor invoices, cost analysis and forecasting, work planning, monitoring/controlling expenditures, and change control.

  • Technical responsibilities include providing guidance to the project team and other specialists/consultants, along with responsibility for their work quality. Ensures that project requirements are identified and met, completes engineering economic analyses as needed, assists in the project approval process, approves project change results within approved limits, allocates contingency, and conducts lessons learned reviews at project completion.

  • Initiates project controls or related process improvements to optimize achievement of program/project or business plan objectives. Performs and directs studies to evaluate the effectiveness of project control techniques utilized on projects. Develops detailed estimates utilizing advanced computer skills in spreadsheet software packages and the current estimating system. Reviews and analyzes vendor proposals, ensures alignment of work scopes, estimates, schedules, cost accounts, and prepares project environmental decision records for review.

  • Utilizes good communication and coordination skills to support project personnel in the development of the program/project. Uses judgment in the utilization of techniques, procedures, and criteria to devise new approaches to resolve identified problems.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or a related engineering field from an accredited college or university.
