Job summary

Cement Recruiter is seeking a Project Manager to own full life cycles of multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects in a fast-paced team. You will gather requirements, establish scopes, budgets and schedules, and coordinate with engineers, vendors and internal customers to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have 8–15 years of related experience, a strong drive for excellence, and the ability to lead a team while maintaining high quality and safety

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8-15 years of related experience with strong leadership capabilities.
  • PMP and/or PE licenses are preferred.
  • Highly motivated with drive for excellence and initiative.
  • Ability to lead a team and work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own full life cycle of multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects.
  • Gather requirements, prepare business cases and establish scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Direct work of multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with internal customers.
  • Coordinate with engineers, vendors and contractors from bidding to scope completion.
  • Prepare, maintain and present periodic project status/progress reports.
  • Perform project control tasks including scheduling and cost control.
  • Update and manage project documentation, drawings and manuals.
  • Coordinate with operations for safety, maintenance and downtime management.

Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will be communicating with respect, interact with integrity, be coachable and open to mentorship, and have fun while growing professionally (i.e. work hard/play hard)
  • Own full life cycle of multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects.
  • Gather requirements, prepare business cases and establish scopes/budgets/schedule.
  • Thoroughly evaluate all options to take decisions with confidence and conviction.
  • Direct the work of multidisciplinary teams of engineers/contractors and coordinate with team members/internal customers.
  • Resolve complex design and construction conflicts and obstacles in the field in real time
  • Coordinate and drive progress with engineers, vendors and contractors from bidding through to scope completion, all while maintaining strong relationships and building your network
  • Communicate, negotiate with, and finally select potential partners to deliver equipment and/or services relevant to each project
  • Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure functional, safety and maintenance needs are met and downtime is managed
  • Work with accounting department to ensure effective financial management and cashflow monitoring during project execution period
  • Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary field crews from construction through to start-up and commissioning, ensuring quality standards are met
  • Prepare, maintain and present periodic project status/progress reports
  • Perform project control tasks, including project scheduling and cost control
  • Update and manage all project documentation, tools and folder systems, including permits, reports, drawings, manuals, etc.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Must have 8-15 years of related experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Professional Engineering (PE) licenses preferred
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated drive for excellence and taking initiative.
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong work ethics, willingness to do what it takes to get the job done right, efficiently and safely
  • Capable of using critical thinking to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, suppliers and clients.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Strong organizational skills, multitasking, time management skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze engineering drawings and prepare them when applicable.
  • Ability to analyze Project financial documents and budgets and prepare them when applicable.
  • Understanding multiple disciplines such as civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, piping, geotechnical and surveying is a plus point.
  • MS Excel, MS Project and AutoCAD/SolidWorks experience preferred.
  • Participate in team building activities along with socialization.
