Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen with ability to obtain security clearance.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and maintaining Power Distribution Systems, UCS, ITS, or SCADA systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple system platforms.
  • Ability to integrate new devices into existing infrastructure while maintaining compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily system maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring, and integration of field devices for UCS/ICS/PME/SCADA systems.
  • Ensure reliability of mission-critical infrastructure by supporting PME and SCADA components.
  • Manage servers, HMIs, PLCs, RTUs, gateways, relays, meters, and communications infrastructure.
  • On-site support Monday through Friday, 0700-1500, excluding federal holidays.
  • Provide responsive technical expertise to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.

We are seeking a Field Technician/Project Engineer. This role is responsible for preventive and/or corrective maintenance and environmental compliance of a Power Plant and Microgrid Control System located at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, CA. You would provide on-site field technical support for Utility Control Systems (UCS), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Power Monitoring Equipment (PME), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems

What will you do in this position?

  • Provide daily system maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring, and integration of new and existing field devices.
  • Ensure the reliability of mission-critical infrastructure by supporting PME and SCADA components.
  • Manage and maintain servers, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), gateways, relays, meters, and associated communications infrastructure.
  • Conduct on-site support Monday through Friday, 0700-1500, excluding federal holidays.
  • Deliver responsive technical expertise to resolve issues as they arise, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational continuity.
