Job summary

Signature Labor Services in Cleveland, TN is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support active construction projects within a 40-mile radius, including Athens, Dayton, and Chattanooga.

You will assist with project coordination, quality control, safety compliance, documentation management, and strong communication between project teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2 years’ prior experience in related field via internships, co-ops, and/or industry employment.
• Engineer-in-training certification or Journeyman license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular communication and collaboration with project team and stakeholders.
• Generate, maintain, and facilitate project documentation for all project phases (RFI, submittals, drawings, specs, purchase orders, material orders, change orders, close-out documents).
• Perform material take-offs from drawings to assist with estimates and changes.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field

2 years’ prior experience in related field via internships, co-ops, and/or industry employment

Engineer-in-training certification

Project Engineer

Pay: $70k - $110k Yearly/DOE | Location: Cleveland, TN | Weekly Pay | Full Benefits

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Engineer to support active construction projects within a 40-mile radius of Cleveland, Tennessee, including Athens, Dayton, and Chattanooga. The ideal candidate will assist with project coordination, quality control, safety compliance, documentation management, and communication between project teams to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain regular communication and collaboration with entire project team, including Project Foreman, Project Manager, General Contractor, Architect/Engineer, and other subcontractors.
• Generate, maintain, and facilitate project documentation in the execution of the construction processes for all phases of the project. This will include, but is not limited to, requests for information, submittals, drawings, specifications, purchase orders, material orders, change orders, close-out documents, etc.
• Perform material take offs from drawings to help generate estimates and changes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field; OR 2 years’ prior experience in related field via internships, co-ops, and/or industry employment
• Engineer-in-training certification, Journeyman license, and field experience preferred, but not required.
• Flexibility and adaptability in utilizing a wide range of computer software
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must have a Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
• Must pass drug screen and all required background checks.
