Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Account Manager Responsibilities
Objective/Outcome: Maintain our competitive advantage through exceptional customer service.
- Address customer questions and inquiries promptly.
- Review customer orders and verify Ace can meet purchase terms; renegotiate if necessary.
- Act as a key contact point with customers, sharing information across the company.
- Develop strong relationships with Engineering, Purchasing, and other key account levels.
- Understand customer needs thoroughly to demonstrate our value.
- Provide technical support and guidance on fabrication requirements.
- Coordinate customer correspondence with Sales and Marketing to resolve issues.
Estimator Responsibilities
- Understand customer requirements and offer value-added options.
- Provide timely quotes and proposals.
- Work with purchasing and suppliers for optimal pricing and quality.
- Prepare labor and material cost studies.
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing on margins and strategies.
- Illustrate our value proposition to customers.
- Target suitable business opportunities to meet revenue and margin goals.
- Use the Project Management Process system for opportunities, ensuring accurate estimates and risk minimization.
Project Planner Responsibilities
- Understand all aspects of project requirements and specifications.
- Coordinate with customers on tolerances and manufacturability, advising on necessary changes.
- Balance customer demands with capacity to meet delivery timelines.
- Translate requirements to suppliers and Value Streams.
- Plan jobs with all necessary information for fabrication.
- Ensure quality standards are met.
- Use M1 ERP system, customer prints, and communication tools for project routing.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Value Stream Leaders on materials and services.
- Complete PMP Job Planning Meetings to ensure manufacturing readiness.
Project Manager Responsibilities
Objective/Outcome: Achieve customer-specified quality with high gross margin through collaboration and follow-up.
- Work with Value Streams to provide guidance during fabrication.
- Follow up to minimize waste and ensure project flow.
- Resolve issues promptly to keep projects on track.
- Adjust processes to improve margins and document changes.
- Use PMP Release to Production meetings to clarify safety, customer, and schedule requirements.
- Conduct project debriefs to review objectives and lessons learned.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Advanced CAD, or 5 years of metal fabrication engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Experience with ERP systems for estimates and project planning.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes such as welding, press brake, laser cutting.
- Experience with SolidWorks for technical assistance on the shop floor.
