Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a learner to assist the project team on designated projects, focusing on acquiring knowledge of Ryan processes, procedures, and policies while working from a construction site for six months or more.

You will help generate RFIs, track approvals, coordinate shop drawings, learn dimensional control, vendor deliveries, safety policies, and permit inspections, supporting the project schedule and site operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field is required.
• Knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control concepts.
• Ability to interpret drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost-coding systems; strong math skills.

Responsibilities

• Help generate RFIs and track approvals.
• Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and coordination.
• Learn project dimensional control requirements and verify dimensions against shop drawings.
• Assist in coordinating and tracking Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.
• Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures and participate in site logistics.
• Contribute to the permit inspection process with city/jurisdiction.

Job Description:This individual will assist the project team in the completion of designated projects with a focus on learning Ryan processes, procedures and business policies.The objective is to educate the employee in field and office operations while working from a construction project site for a minimum of six months and preferably for the duration of an entire construction project.Some things you can expect to do:Help generate Requests For Information (RFIs) and track approvals.Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and shop drawing coordination.Learn project dimensional control requirements while field verifying dimensions to back check the shop drawing approval process.Assist in the coordination and tracking of Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.Gain an understanding for overall site logistics.Participate in and gain an understanding of the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process.Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.Accompany Ryan personnel (and Owner) on Punchlist inspections, record Punchlist items and monitor completion of Punchlist work.Participate in preparing and updating the project scheduleTo be successful in this role:You must have knowledge of estimating techniques.Cost control, and material pricing.A bachelor's degree in a construction-related field is required.You must be able to perform mathematical calculations, understand architectural and engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost-coding systems.You also must be able to assume responsibility, interface & communicate effectively.Compensation:The annual salary range is $73,800 - $92,300.
