Job summary

Aegis Manufacturing & Engineering is partnering with a major U.S. manufacturer to hire a Project Engineer for our growing Antioch, IL manufacturing team. This role focuses on driving automation and plant modernization, with hands-on project execution on the shop floor.

You will evaluate equipment, troubleshoot issues with maintenance, and lead CAPEX/CI initiatives to reduce labor and scrap. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is highly preferred and 2–5+ years in high-volume manufacturing is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is highly preferred.
• 2–5+ years of high volume manufacturing experience.
• Experience with equipment upgrades or cost-saving projects related to labor, material, scrap, etc.
• Hands-on problem solving on the shop floor to identify root causes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing equipment to make it smarter and more efficient.
• Troubleshoot underperforming equipment with maintenance on the root cause.
• Implement and drive automation projects to reduce manual labor.
