Job summary

BMO Financial Group in New York is seeking a motivated professional to support origination and execution of project finance and structured lending transactions across energy, infrastructure, and digital infrastructure sectors.

You will assist in preparing credit submissions, summarize diligence materials, run risk assessments, and coordinate with cross-functional teams through closing. Strong modelling and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance/accounting, economics.
• Financial services experience analyzing large corporate, commercial or project finance credit risk.
• Project finance experience and financial modelling proficiency are assets.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with ability to present complex information clearly.
• Self-starter who can work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word; familiarity with AI to drive efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing credit submissions (applications, memoranda, presentations) for internal/external stakeholders.
• Summarize diligence materials to develop coherent recommendations and identify risks.
• Run internal return models and capital committee memos.
• Coordinate with credit and operations teams from origination through closing and funding.
• Consider risk, internal controls and compliance in day-to-day activities.
