Base pay range: $110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

Role Overview

The Project Electrical Engineer is responsible for project execution, calculations, and design of engineering projects. This includes gathering and analyzing technical data to prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings, monitoring and coordinating technical deliverables, overseeing the work of engineers and staff engineers, and ensuring quality assurance and control. The role acts as a liaison between the Project Manager and other team members, facilitating effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Designs, creates CAD drawings, and specifications for assigned projects under supervision.
• Collaborates with project team members, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Coordinates with drafters, designers, and engineers within the team.
• Responsible for design calculations and development of plans.
• Ensures drawings and project deliverables meet scope, budget, and schedule, and reviews for accuracy and constructability.
• Oversees construction and documentation to ensure compliance with contracts and engineering standards.
• Develops conceptual and basic engineering documents, including studies and specifications.
• Uses engineering software for tasks and performs field work for data collection and problem-solving.
• Adheres to safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• 5+ years in power engineering design, especially in Commercial/Industrial sectors.
• Experience with Mission Critical Facilities and Solar design is a plus.
• Project management experience (1-5 years).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office.

Physical & Working Conditions

Sedentary work involving sitting at a desk, with occasional field work in outdoor conditions. Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel approximately 10%.
