Job summary

Hamilton Barnes, a national Tier 1 General Contractor, seeks a Project Director to oversee major data center developments in Kansas. You will lead delivery from preconstruction through commissioning, owning commercial performance, execution strategy, and high-value multi-discipline teams on hyperscale builds.

The role demands 15+ years in construction management, a background in hyperscale facilities, and proven experience managing budgets, schedules, risks, and client relationships.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in construction management on large-scale projects.
• Experience leading hyperscale data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Experience as Project Director or senior leadership (Project Executive/Senior PM).
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, risks and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of CSA, MEP infrastructure, commissioning and project sequencing.
• Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams and client relationships.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale data center projects from preconstruction to handover.
• Own project budgets, schedules, risk management and commercial outcomes.
• Develop and manage project leadership teams (PMs, Superintendents, Engineers).
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, contracts, changes, and major packages.
• Coordinate CSA, electrical, mechanical and commissioning activities.
• Maintain relationships with hyperscale clients and stakeholders.
• Uphold safety, quality and project controls across teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale data center construction projects, from preconstruction through commissioning and handover
• Take overall responsibility for project budgets, financial performance, schedules, risk management and commercial outcomes
• Manage and develop project leadership teams, including Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers and specialist delivery personnel
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, contract administration, change orders and major construction packages
• Coordinate complex CSA, electrical, mechanical and commissioning activities to ensure successful project executionn-??
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hyperscale clients, consultants and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Establish and maintain high standards of safety, quality, project controls and operational performance across construction teams

Skills/Must have:

• 15+ years' experience in construction management, including significant experience leading large-scale, technically complex projects
• Strong background delivering hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities or major commercial/industrial construction projects
• Previous experience as a Project Director, Project Executive, Senior Project Manager or equivalent construction leadership position
• Proven ability to manage substantial project budgets, complex schedules, commercial risk and subcontractor relationships
• Strong understanding of CSA, MEP infrastructure, commissioning and the construction sequencing of complex facilities
• Demonstrated experience leading large multidisciplinary teams and managing senior client relationships
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred

Salary:

• Up to $250,000 base salary
