You will join one of our 45 offices in the US, part of a dedicated team of over 1500 professionals, working directly with clients and teams to shape the world around us. As a Project Director at Design Group, you will collaborate with industry experts to solve complex problems for leading companies, delivering high-quality solutions consistently and accurately.

What You’ll Do

• Lead projects according to the “Design Group way,” using established Client Trust project management practices.
• Safely deliver complex projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Build client relationships and drive business development through successful project leadership.
• Provide expertise in project design, operations, engineering, construction, and execution.
• Support proposal development and participate in sales presentations.
• Manage projects from concept design through start-up, overseeing engineering teams and collaborating with various stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local authorities and facilitate site, building, and infrastructure design and construction.
• Manage client communications, expectations, project timelines, budgets, scope, change, and risk.
• Coordinate with construction and site managers to resolve design and constructability issues, and assist with value engineering.

What You’ll Bring

• At least 15 years of relevant project management and engineering experience in capital projects, including design development, coordination, specifications, cost estimation, and construction administration.
• Understanding of all Design Group services and the interdependency of design and construction leadership.
• Proven success in delivering large or complex projects or programs.
• Ability to perform well under pressure, demonstrating confidence and proactive problem-solving.
• Mastery of project management tools and a champion of the Client Trust program.
• Knowledge of industry-accepted engineering and construction practices.
• Experience in overseeing design projects involving buildings, utilities, process systems, or automation.
• Broad knowledge of engineering disciplines and project execution within an A/E/C design firm.
• Strong presentation, client relationship, and team interaction skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
• Willingness to travel for project needs, including installation, start-up, meetings, and industry events.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related technical discipline preferred.
