Role Description:

The Project Director will report to the Head of Digital Delivery and oversee large, multi-year, multi-million-dollar projects implementing Digital solutions across various Lines of Business. The role requires extensive project management experience in the IT industry, establishing strong relationships internally and externally, and ensuring successful project delivery. The focus will be on instilling world-class PMO standards and operational excellence, managing project scope, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communications effectively.

The role also involves establishing PMO standards applicable to all Digital projects, ensuring consistent project management practices across the organization. Delivery teams include project managers, business analysts, UI/UX designers, technical architects, developers, and QA analysts.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee multiple large-scale, multi-year projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for expansion and upselling.
• Manage teams effectively, setting clear goals and monitoring progress.
• Communicate key issues and progress to stakeholders and senior management.
• Analyze and resolve project, process, and personnel issues.
• Perform complex technical, financial, and risk assessments.
• Manage all aspects of project delivery to meet schedule, budget, and quality goals.
• Ensure contractual obligations are met and client satisfaction is achieved.
• Manage financial forecasts and team capacity planning.
• Identify and mitigate risks.
• Manage project budgets and resources.
• Implement and improve project management processes and methodologies.

Job Requirements:

• 15+ years of successful project management experience.
• Proven experience leading software implementation projects, preferably in Insurance and Digital industries.
• Hands-on project management skills, capable of managing multiple complex projects within budget and timelines.
• High-level understanding of Digital & Insurance sectors.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working with Product, R&D, and Service Delivery teams.
• Knowledge of Agile/Hybrid SDLC methodologies and tools (JIRA & Confluence).
• Formal project management training; PMP certification is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as needed, up to 50% or more.
