Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp. seeks a Project Development Engineer to own and manage projects from development through execution.

The role requires coordinating schedules, costs, and deliverables with Sponsors and Stakeholders, and ensuring documentation and change control are maintained throughout the lifecycle. The candidate should have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering (ABET) and 3+ years of engineering experience, with PM and scheduling tools like Primavera or MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• PE license or equivalent ABET-alternative plus advanced degree considered.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience; strong PM and scheduling skills.

Responsibilities

• Own, manage, monitor and control projects through Development Phase.
• Maintain schedule and costs per PM procedures.
• Prepare project execution plans and deliverables with Sponsors and Stakeholders.
• Coordinate outages and resource planning with operations.
• Ensure change management and documentation throughout project lifecycle.
