Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp in Reading, PA is seeking a Project Development Engineer to own, manage, monitor, and control projects through the development phase, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to scope.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering (ABET) is required.
PE license is preferred or alternative engineering degree with FE/advanced degree considered.
Strong project management, scheduling, and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

Review and analyze technical project documents to develop a strategic project schedule and scope.
Coordinate with Sponsors/Stakeholders to document risks and ensure timely project execution.
Develop project execution plans and deliverables with input from Sponsors and Stakeholders.
Provide projected resource levels and durations for project schedules and milestones.
Maintain cost controls and obtain approvals for capital expenditures when needed.
Communicate project status to Sponsors and support outage coordination with operations.
