This role involves assisting the development team with all aspects of early to late-stage project development, such as permitting, stakeholder engagement, public hearings, environmental site assessment, and project financing due diligence.

The Project Developer collaborates with land and greenfield teams, interconnection experts, as well as pre-construction, engineering, and project delivery to fulfill the company's renewable energy goals and growth strategy for wind, solar, and storage project development in North America. • Engage Stakeholders: Engage with consultants, landowners, and stakeholders, attend public hearings, and ensure effective communication throughout the development process
  • Research and Compliance: Stay updated on industry developments, tax incentives, and technologies; manage permit applications and interactions with local, state, and federal agencies, including Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) submittals, and remain abreast of renewable energy opportunities and industry trends
  • Financial and Administrative Support: Develop project model underwriting assumptions, support off-take origination efforts, financing, and M&A discussions, prepare investment materials, and review pro forma financial models to understand how returns are impacted, and maintain database tracking project progress
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental, Business Administration, Finance, Energy, Economics, or a related field with experience in project development, permitting/planning, project management, or business development
  • Minimum two (2) years related experience in renewable energy development or other project development fields, with the ability to navigate permitting processes and community involvement
