Himmel’s Architectural Door and Hardware in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Door and Hardware Project Detailer. The role focuses on detailing openings, reviewing plans and specifications, and preparing submittals to align with project requirements.

Candidates should read plans well, communicate clearly, and be proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam. The position is full-time, in-person, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience reading plans & specifications.
• Experience using industry-specific detailing software (Comsense or Pro-tech).
• Familiar with the commercial construction industry.
• 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Manage newly awarded project information through Smartsheets and the company’s software (Comsense).
• Proactively contact customers via email and phone to obtain project information.
• Identify and organize missing documents (plans, specs, quotes).
• Detail newly awarded projects including opening information, costs, scope gaps, and code requirements.
• Review opening handing, door/frame elevations, lite kit sizing, and hardware specifications.
• Prepare shop drawings, schedules and submittals using approved manufacturer catalogs.
• Review returned submittals for accuracy and completeness of contract & scope.
• Collaborate with contractor, architect and project managers to meet schedules, budget and customer experience.

Our family-owned and operated company is currently seeking a Door and Hardware Project Detailer to join our team at our Nashville, TN Location!The Detailing Department is the lifeline of our growing business.
